Every week we have a new theme of camp open to any child aged 5-13 - Your child can be enrolled for the morning session, afternoon session, or all day. - Our trained Teacher Naturalists will divide registered campers into groups based on age to ensure every camper has a positive, hands-on, and interactive outdoor experience.
Nature Detectives: June 19-23 Unravel nature’s secrets by exploring forests, fields, and streams. Learn how to find hidden animals by sight or sound. Design science experiments to learn more about plants and animals. Solve cases with Nature CSI to find out ‘who done it’. How many mysteries can you solve? Wild Fair Hill: June 26-30 Explore and play in the wilds of Fair Hill. Learn to use a compass, follow a map, and how to identify wild animals and plants. Hike trails and go tubing in the Big Elk Creek. Have fun and play in nature every day! Imagination Camp: July 10-14 Discover nature’s wonders through stories, exploration and imagination! Using themes from popular books, movies, and video games we’ll create skits, art, and music. If you can dream it we can explore it! Creature Catchers: July 17-21 Join us to find, observe, and catch animals! Search the forests, streams, and fields for new animal friends. Meet and help care for the Nature Center’s resident snakes and turtles. We will focus on a new type of animal every day! Water Explorers: July 24-28 Let’s get wet and wild! Every day is soaked with fun at this water investigation camp. Build a water machine, create “water colors”, go on water hikes and cool off with water games! Explore Fair Hill: July 31- Aug. 4 For the courageous camper- Hike! Bike! Tube! Ride! You will get a workout hiking and biking the trails, cool off while tubing down the Big Elk Creek and round out the week with a horseback riding adventure*. Bring your bike, your water bottle and your endurance! *Campers 9 or younger will have an alternate activity to horseback riding. Unplugged: August 7-11 Inspired by Minecraft, Pokemon, Angry Birds, and Legend of Zelda; this camp brings your favorite video games to life! Go on quests, solve puzzles, and shoot a giant slingshot to knock down targets. Collect natural materials to craft anything you can imagine. Create a Pokemon inspired ‘Naturedex’ to fill with Fair Hill animals and turn them into powerful monsters. Surviving Nature: August 14-18 Do you have what it takes to survive in the wild? We’ll put your skills to the test- learn to pack a backpack, set up a tent, practice First Aid, identify skulls and plants, follow a trail and use a compass. Every day we’ll solve a different Outdoor Obstacle. Come with us, and conquer the great outdoors!
